I hope the long weekend brought you many a delightful read! I got two books I really wanted in my Book of the Month shipment— including the new Elin Hilderbrand, Thoroughbreds. Eek!!! Regular readers know that I am a huge Hilderbrand head, I’ve read every book at least twice. I’ve been dying to get my hands on Thoroughbreds, so this was my favorite kind of mail.
It also got me thinking about pre-orders and getting your paws on a book right when— or before— it comes out! I don’t usually get “advance reader copies” too often, so usually if I want to read something from an author, I’m signing up to get notified when it drops at the library, or I’m pre-ordering it.
