Hiya! This is a HEFTY treasure trove of reads and recs landing in your inbox this morning— I hope you are settled in with a nice beverage in hand.

I’ll keep my preamble brief. August was one of the most (or the most?) stressful months of 2025 for me so far, and September has been my most depressed month of 2025. Womp womp! I say this not to cover my own ass if my writing sucked this month or to make you be nice to me (though I want this), but more so because I think sometimes it could look like I live on perpetual vacation in Portugal and like everything is fabulous. Most things are fabulous! But to be frank, most of September was very hard, and I really didn’t feel like myself.

It happens. I’ve been trying to focus on what I’m grateful for, and there’s plenty to be excited about below… perhaps the fact that this was the best reading month of 2025? I’ve never given so many books 5 stars in succession…! Eek!
