Bom dia! My August wrap up comes to you from Portugal, where I’ll be for the next few weeks. I’m working East Coast hours this week and nothing felt better than a walk on the beach this morning, followed by two espressos and two pastel de nata enjoyed with a good book outside in the sun.
Actually, one thing felt better— a full night’s sleep in a queen sized bed. This last few weeks has been intense. We moved, there was a very long day of shuffling from Long Island to Brooklyn to New Jersey to put stuff in storage, followed by a sleepless red eye. I have never been so glad to see a queen bed. I have also never been so glad that João’s mom lets us stay at her beach apartment in Portugal when we’re in between apartments!
At the end of the week we head to Lisbon and Ericeira for a week of earnest vacation, then back up North for some family time before we head back (finally) to Brooklyn and to our more permanent home… but most of September will be Portugal, Portugal, Portugal…
