One of the things I miss the most about running Goldune, my store for design-forward sustainable homewares, was geeking out and delighting in the work of the creative, fearless, wonât-take-no-for-an-answer people who bet on themselves and their ability to make something more beautiful, sustainable or efficient.
I loved that I got to know each merchant and their wares personally, I loved sharing a âsustainability spectrumâ with you so you could visualize how a new-to-you brand or maker measured up, I loved treating supply chain, packaging and product development with love and reverence and care, and having a small community (youâor at least my OG subscribers!) to share that with.
When I parted ways with my business, I lost that creative expression and autonomy, and I could never have imagined how much Iâd miss it. I managed to scratch a similar itch writing for you here, but I still dream often of having my own store againâ in person this timeâ and with increasing fervor now that the 3âŠ
