The Weekender // 025
I need white tee recs from you.
Welcome to THE WEEKENDER, your weekly dispatch full of ~Saturday spirit~! I fill you in briefly on the week, share a few Little Luxuries that make the mundane feel special and save the best for last with some Brain Food to mull over, expand your horizons, or discuss with your friends over a cappuccino. There are usually lots of links and pictures which perhaps will get clipped if you’re reading in your inbox— click here to read in browser!
Happy Saturday! Time is moving so fast that it’s slipping through my fingers and I wish I could slow it down. Is it going that way for you too, or is it just that my wedding is really soon and I’m drowning in stuff to do?
Speaking of, I’d love your help, Weekenders! I’m hunting for the perfect oversized white tee to style with a white slip skirt for my wedding week. I’m thinking something similar to this one image from Pinterest that lives in my mind rent free…
Does anyone have any favorites? I have my eye on AYR’s tees, which get rave reviews. (I love their long sleeve, but I fear my size is OOS!) I snagged some great options at Gap last weekend— by the way, these are a FABULOUS fitted tee option at a great price, $12— but they’re not quite baggy and boxy enough for what I’m envisioning, with the length past the hip… help! Could it be the “Florida Woman” Nikki Chasin tee? But I’m also kind of desiring something sans-appliqué…
I am in my HAND PRESERVATION era: on Wednesday I told you about how this cuticle oil has singlehandedly extended the life of my gel manicure, and this hand cream does the same. (I have very few “always reorder” hero products, but I’d say over 30% of them are by Soft Services, tbh. Buffing Bar forever.).
I’m sorry to say it, but these old-school headphones from Doen are the absolute coolest thing. I want them very badly.
I started using Molly Sims’s Vitamin C Serum and I’m delighted, I see results already! Recommend.
How fun are these sandals!? I can’t even talk about the fact that it is basically still winter where I live, I will cry.
Speaking of wedding stuff, I really wanted to do something with disposable cameras, but they are bizarrely expensive— both to buy as a throwaway item, and then to develop. Camp Snap reached out and sent me this SICK Super 8 video camera that I will be using as maybe a virtual guest book, which lead me to discover their digital “disposable” cameras that I bought in bulk. This way I can still get the desired effect of having disposable cameras, but I’m not spending 3 times as much on a disposable item with an additional cost to corral and develop all the film. Highly recommend if you are into the disposable cam thing or planning an event! They’re on sale this weekend and they also gave me a code that stacks on top of the sale, FIRSTRODEO7.
I loved Leslie Stephens “How to Increase Your Surface Area for Luck”!
I found this case study on an influencer’s over the top sponsored bachelorette… interesting, to say the least. Yes, there was a private jet. I know that the sponsor seems very happy with the results, but I’m not sure I would if I were them— still under 5K Instagram followers? I’ll tell ya, I’ve built a lot more with a lot less cash.
Sabeena Ladha’s “household load split tool” is such a useful exercise for anyone living with or co-parenting with a partner!
Loved this smart analysis of why Sofie Pavitt’s skincare brand is so successful.
The studio really lost the plot tapping Old Navy for this Devil Wears Prada 2 partnership. Like… girl. Be serious!

Old Navy x Devil Wears Prada???? Glad I missed this
omg thank you for linking to my Sofie Pavitt case study 🫶🏾🫶🏾
