The Weekender // 028
Small wins, the cutest summer prints, a good sale & books for your TBR.
Welcome to THE WEEKENDER, your weekly dispatch full of ~Saturday spirit~! I fill you in briefly on the week, share a few Little Luxuries that make the mundane feel special and save the best for last with some Brain Food to mull over, expand your horizons, or discuss with your friends over a cappuccino. There are usually lots of links and pictures which perhaps will get clipped if you’re reading in your inbox— click here to read in browser!
Welcome back to The Weekender! It’s been a few weeks and we’re finally settling back into the full routing— starting with the return of my Saturday column.

Small wins from my week:
Coming back to Long Island summer weather… ish! Almost. But warm enough to enjoy lots of time outside, which is the best!
Taking a trip into the city to celebrate my best friend’s birthday and getting to catch up with my pals in real life.
The start of the World Cup, yeehaw!
I survived the first week back from my wedding and mini-moon. I’m not saying I thrived! But I survived…
Let’s get into some fun weekend fluff, shall we?
20% off my favorite travel pants from Ruti through Monday— my full review (with photos of them in-action) linked here! They’re on the pricy side and don’t go on sale too often, so the discount makes a difference.
I looooooooove the mixed metal jewelry that Lucy Williams does for Missoma. I just got this necklace and have my eye on the knotted hoops too, but I’m a huge fan of mixed metal jewelry that can stay on all-summer and looks cool and kind of un-done and messy with other layered pieces.
I’ve been sick with desire for the new stuff over at J.Crew. The lobster bathing suit (50% off!) has to be mine!! And the sweater and dress (50% off!) version!?
My best friend Emily is the most talented ceramicist (the cute lobster cup in the collage of pics from my week at the top of this letter is one of hers!) and she makes the most fun, summer-y, nautical wares. For a long time I just had to hope she’d give me something here and there, but she’s finally started sharing and selling her work with the greater world, rejoice! Give her Etsy shop a follow if you love a cheeky cup or bowl!
In the mood for something weird? My “weird girl lit fic” reading list has you covered. I just finished another that fits so perfectly in this category, A Good Person by Kirsten King— can’t wait to review it in my monthly reading wrap up!
I really admire what Helena Price does— her piece on how to get out of a spiral as a founder/entrepreneur was gold.
I know Summer House isn’t exactly “brain food”, but Hunter Harris nailed it with these 32 questions for Amanda Batula.
Need help training your attention span?
A pleasant reminder for you!
